Herbal medicine for toothache

 “Saffron” has long been used in traditional medicine as a natural painkiller for toothache and gum is used. 

Dr. Mojtaba Bazrafshan has addressed this issue in his professional doctoral thesis. He concluded by researching 60 patients with toothache after root canal treatment that the analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects of saffron extract are comparable to drugs such as ibuprofen and indomethacin. Therefore, this plant can be used as a toothache pain reliever.

This aromatic plant contains compounds such as crocin, crostin, and safranal, which have anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties and can help reduce gum inflammation and pain caused by tooth decay through several mechanisms.

Some traditional methods, the use of saffron for the relief of dental pain include:

Saffron infusion: Tasting saffron infusion in the mouth can help reduce toothache.

Saffron powder with sugar: Consuming a small amount of saffron powder (about 0.2 to 1 gram) with sugar is also recommended for pain relief.

Combine the saffron and honey for children: in cases where the children's teeth are growing in. combine the saffron pulverized with honey and rub it on the gums can be rough cut.

In the research done any side effect for the consumption of saffron, with a dose of iconic observed, however, taking it for pregnant mothers is not recommended.
